As the Onboarding Specialist, this position is responsible for providing candidates and employees with a seamless transition into the company through an exceptional onboarding experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Screen candidate applications, conduct phone interviews, and arrange in person interviews between the applicant and the hiring manager
- Arrange for new hires to complete pre-employment drug test and DOT physical if applicable
- Request offer letters and coordinate pre-employment paperwork between the candidate and HR
- Assist the hiring manager with ordering company equipment such as cell phones, pay cards and e-mail address
- Coordinate and deliver new hire orientation PowerPoint presentation
- Ensure new hire paperwork is completed including I-9 verification
- Review company policies with new employees and ensure compliance with signatures
- Complete all required harassment training during onboarding
- Provide new hires with answers to questions, work with the hiring managers to make sure they receive the support needed
- Provide and document the required safety and compliance training in order for the new team member to begin his/her assignment
