Ideally looking for a candidate with Rad Tech and CT Experience.

Position Summary:
The multifaceted Regi! stered Radiological Tech or Limited Permit Radiological Technician

is responsible for operating complex Diagnostic Radiographic equipment including any/or/all

combination of the following modalities up to and including Bone Densitometry (DEXA),

Computerized Tomography (CT), Diagnostic Ultrasonography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging

(MRI), Mammography/Quality Assurance, Nuclear Medicine and the associated accessories.

The technologist will perform any and all appropriate procedures as directed per physicians an

in accordance to established standards and practices. Functions in concert with strategic

goals of the organization and upholds the mission, values, and views of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
?Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures of specified anatomy as ordered by physician

following established procedures. Provides immobilization devices as requir! ed and ensures

patients safety while in the departmen! t.

?Obtains radiographic images in other areas of HRH with portable equipment. Transport

equipment to areas such as Surgery, Emergency Dept, and the patient's room. Observe

sterile techniques and completes procedures promptly.

?Complies with radiation safety practices. Consistently practices ALARA standards

during radiological examination, maintains and wears all radiation monitoring devices.

?Assist with the collection and maintenance of all documentation, records, film files, etc. as

required by JC Accreditation, OSHA guidelines or as may be required by law.

?Accepts complete responsibility for your assigned area with equipment performance

cleanliness, and supplies and ensure the area is "patient ready" for the next patient and

technologist.

?Prepares and administers all radiopaque substances or contrast materials per

the Radiologist directions and order. Identify, ! interview and screen patients prior to the

procedure for proper diet preparation, food and medication allergies and renal function.

?Processes any and all films, after verifying all adequate processor factors,

and preparing the films for reading and interpretation by the Radiologist. Ensures complete

requisition containing complete patient data, charges and appropriate history for

examination.

?Inspects departmental pharmaceuticals and supplies for sterility, outdating,

defects and dispose of properly. Inspects emergency drug box(s) seals daily for integrity

and reports/replaces immediately if any items are utilized or if the seal has been

compromised.

?Provides constructive input for equipment and supply purchase decisions.

?Performs diagnostic Bone Densitometry (DEXA) procedures as ordered by physician

following established procedures.

?Screens patients for! complete medical history medical history, medications, and

re! cord for Radiologist interpretation.

?Distribute completed processed examination to referring physician.

?Performs the procedures as outlined in the departmental Policy and Procedure

manual with regards to all phases of computerized tomography guidelines.

Education, Experience, and Licensure/Certification Requirements: Requirements are

representative of minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.

1. Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology (ARRT).

2. Nationally Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).

3. State of MT licensure.

4. BLS Certification

5. 1-2 years clinical experience preferred.
