Overview
Position Summary: Purchasing and processing of daily orders and special orders as needed for surgeries and day to day patient care.
- Update Meditech program daily.
- Perform daily inventory replenishment to all areas of the facility.
- Assist with coordination and function of inventory monitoring.
- Work with accounts payable and contract department assuring correct supply prices.
- Work with Health Information Technician assuring accurate patient billing.
- Assist with monitoring for expiring supplies.
- Receive deliveries.
- Unpack and check orders for accuracy.
- Stock or deliver received items.
- Serve as a lead contact for the facility and materials management department employees in the absence of Materials Management Lead.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Previous medical supply and or purchasing experience preferred. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment required. Must be able to read and comprehend material such as packing slips; possess basic computer skills; be self-directed; dependable. Ability to function effectively in a team and customer service environment.
Work Schedule: Monday â€" Friday; hours between 7:00am â€" 5:00pm
Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs. and carrying up to 25 feet; Walking through out the entire facility frequently to continuously; Pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, kneeling, twisting and reaching overhead. Exposure to hazardous materials. Safety equipment required: gloves, scrubs, hair covering, eye shield and others as needed.
