Description: St. Peter's Hospital is currently interviewing OR Tech - OR, 1.0 FTE, 40 hrs/week, Full-time right now, this job will be placed in Montana. For detail informations about this job opportunity please read the description below. JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for proce! dure. Monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to accept responsibilities. Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the Operating Room is preferred. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED preferred. Graduate from a surgical tech two-year program required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Operating Room Technician Certification is preferred. Current BCLS Certification is required.
APTITUDES: Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers. Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations.
Additional Information
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
