Practice opportunity:
This opportunity is an employed position with Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

The hospitalist program was established in 2006 and there are 8 hospitalists.

We are adding an additional position to allow for an evening swing shift.

There is a stipend for a medical director chosen by the group; the Chief Medical Officer oversees the program for administration.

Patient Load:
Patient encounters have averaged about 30 per 24-hour period.

There are 2 hospitalists on the day shift and one hospitalist covering the night shift. There is an open ICU; however, there is 24-7 critical care service covered by Intensivists.

Schedule:
Days- 8AM-6PM, Nights 6PM-8AM variable block schedule. Night physician doesn’t have to stay in house if they would prefer not to, on average 2-4 new patient encounters at night.

Compensation and benefits:
This is a hospital-employed position. Base salary $190K with the opportunity for a $10,000 quality bonus and a WRVU based productivity bonus. Up to $10,000 is offered for relocation. The position is benefit eligible for the following: health, dental, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, paid malpractice, and $3000 for CME and paid medical licensing/DEA expenses. Hospital facts:
86 bed facility, 8 ORs, 8 bed ICU, 8 bed progressive care unit, 25 bed ED. Approximately 23,000 ED visits per year.

The hospital has level III ACS Trauma Center designation and is Joint Commission accredited. There are approximately 150 physicians on the medical staff representing a broad spectrum of both medical and surgical specialties.

However there is no neurosurgeon or cardiothoracic surgeon on site.
