Certified/Registered/Licensed In Designated Position
1-2 year of experience required
Current Healthcare Provider CPR
The Surgical Techn! ologist prepares the sterile field as well as all instrumentation and equipment intended to be used on the sterile field. During surgery, the Surgical Technologist provides appropriate instrumentation through a combination of knowledge of the intended surgery, individual surgeon preference, and anticipation of the surgeon's needs as the procedure progresses. Non-clinical support includes cleaning and sterilization of instruments, cleaning and proper care of equipment, and provision of a surgical environment which is safe and clean.
Minimum Required:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Completion of Surgical Technologist Program and/or licensed Practical Nurse Program. Verbal and written communication skills required, computer skills. Ability to deal with multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment BLS upon hire and Healthcare Provider BLS within 3 months of hire.
Preferred / Desired:
Surgical Technologist Certification, BLS, Rece! nt Hospital experience (2-5 years) and/or previous practice. C! Section experience is preferred.
