This MDA client is a government entity; any active and unrestricted license i! s acceptable. Dates of Contract: June 1, 2013 to November 30, 2013. Provider must complete entire term of contract.Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm each day for a total of 40 hours per week.
On Call services are not requested or required at this time. Caseload: Neurologist will be asked to see, diagnose and treat approximately 7-8 patients per day (in and out-patient) for a total of about 35 patients per week.Description: The Neurologist will work closely with two other Neurologists, specialists and primary care physicians to ensure that the patient receives continuous care. You will also serve as one of 3 consulting neurologists for the PolyTrauma (TBI) OEF/OIF team. Must be experienced in performing EMG/NCS and interpreting EEG’s onsite.
The Neurologist must have the ability, license requirements and DEA to write prescriptions for neurological drugs. Daily responsibilities include: 1: Patient examinations (new, follow-up and consultative).2: Diagnostic ass! essment (including NCS/EMG and reading EEG).3: Treatment plann! ing.4: Counseling.5: Medication management.6: Enter progress notes into CPRS.7: Making daily rounds, documentation in medical record, changing orders when appropriate.8: Write prescriptions.9: Use Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) to enter data into medical records.Requirements: 1. Any active, unrestricted and unencumbered license to practice in the US2. An active DEA license3.
