More complete informations about this career opportunity kindly see the descriptions. JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitor PAR level o! f all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to accept responsibilities. Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the Operating Room is preferred. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED preferred. Graduate from a surgical tech two-year program required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Operating Room Technician Certification is preferred. Current BCLS Certification is required. APTITUDES: Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers. Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations.
