More details about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. SUMMARY Cares for and treats patients in medical office, as directed by Physician, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepares patient for and assists with examinations. Administers injections and medications, dresses wounds and incisions, interprets Physician's instructions to patients, assists with emergency and minor surgery, and performs related tasks as directed. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient. Observes patient records, significant conditions and reactions and notifies physician of patient condition and reaction to drugs, treatment, and significant incidents. Maintains awareness of and attends to patient safety and comfort at all times. Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocols. Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent data of patient. Cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment, and maintains stock of supplies and medications. Conducts cardiology specific tests such as dobutamine stress exams. Works with Cardiopulmonary Department to record and develop electrocardiograms. Maintain Quality Control logs. Initiates patient education plan according to individualized needs of a patient as prescribed by physician and/or Clark Fork Valley Cardiology policy including patient and family instruction. Travel to outreach sites with physician and work within those locations. Participates in department quality improvement activities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS The individual must meet the highest standard of customer service for this department. Excellent communication and general business skills are required, along with independent problem solving and personal responsibility for results. Typing/keyboarding skills and experience interacting with computer information systems are also necessary in this position. This job also requires the ability to work well as a team. The ability to multi-task and to cope well under pressure.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree (A. A. as an RN) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Experience as a RN in an ER, ICU or Cardiology practice setting required. Preference will be given to applicants with Cardiology clinic experience.
