More complete informations about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to accept responsibilities. Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the Operating Room is preferred. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED preferred. Graduate from a surgical tech two-year program required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Operating Room Technician Certification is preferred. Current BCLS Certification is required. APTITUDES: Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or customers. Possesses interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations.
